I have been on this huge Toy Story kick of late and this post will show it. I am not really into keeping up a blog and will probably not write another post before I leave. Sorry to my followers because I have been a real disappointment in that area. I have received my endowment! That was the most beautiful and amazing experience. I was so afraid because a lot of people told me that it was overwhelming. All I will say is that if you prepare and take a Temple Prep class, you will love every minute of it and you will not be worried. No one should ever worry about visiting the temple, it is such a magnificent and peaceful place. Go to the temple if you can, and if you can't right now, work to be able to go soon. It is definitely, infinitely worth every moment.
I just wanted to say that this was fun while it lasted, but I think that I'll stick to writing fiction. I find that I have much more to say about my characters' lives than I do my own. Sad? Maybe, but I feel like I've already lived it and written about it in my journal. Why do I have to write it down over and over again so that the entire world can read about it? It's weird to me. Hey, anyone ever thought about an analogy between the Claw and the Lord or the aliens and the missionaries? The Claw decides who will stay and who will go [many are called, but few are chosen]) Just a weird Toy Story allegory for you!
I have been chosen! Farewell my friends!

Called to Serve
It's here! My waiting and praying has not been in vain! I am going to the New Mexico Albuquerque Mission! And, I will be speaking English. I'm so excited! I leave on October 6th for the MTC. I would love to continue telling you about how great this new part of my life will be, but my phone is going crazy with texts and calls. I promise to go into more detail in a later post!
Is Today the Day?
Wow, it has been forever since I last wrote! I am freaking out right now, wishing that it was 3pm already! After all of this waiting, I know that my mission call has been sent and that it will be here today or tomorrow. I am desperately hoping that it comes today! I have been waiting for over a month now and I really really really want to know where I'm going! Yesterday, I went to check the mail and I found a large, white envelope in our mailbox. I began to freak out at the mailbox, believing that it was finally here. I picked up the envelope, turned it over, and read the name it was addressed to. My mother got an official document from work. Ah! Really? Out of all the weeks that my mom would be sent a document that came in a large envelope, it had to be the week that I'm waiting for my mission call in a large envelope. Man, my dad keeps joking about playing a prank on me about my call. Little did I know that my Heavenly Father decided to get in on the pranking too! Anyway, hopefully you'll hear from me again today or tomorrow and that I will finally have an answer! Keep your fingers crossed friends!

The Game is On!
Alright my faithful followers, it is time to play Where in the world is Sister King called to?! I know what I said in my earlier post, but we shall just forget that because my parents are totally on board with this game. If you have a guess, put it in as a comment to this post and I will set you up with a little sticker on my map of the world. If your guess is the closest to where I am called, there will be a sweet surprise for you! Only one guess is allowed per person so guess carefully! Happy guessing!

Sitting, Waiting, Wishing
So, no call yet. My bishop has been tracking my papers and they are apparently still at the Mission Offices, which means that no call has even been decided yet. It's getting harder and harder to wait when everyone keeps asking if my call is here. I have been told not to get my hopes up because the delay in my papers could cause my call not to come for 3-4 weeks. I'm trying not to be too upset about this. I keep telling myself that in my original plans, when I thought you could only turn your papers in 90 days before your availability date, I would have just been able to turn my papers in. That means that I'm still ahead of when I thought I would get my call. Still, it's hard to wait. I'm trying to decide if I want people to play the guessing game of where I'll go. I feel that besides telling the ward about my plans, my family isn't really doing anything. I watched as my friends' families bought maps and called around to get everyone's guesses. I saw them get all excited with the missionary-to-be. To my knowledge, my parents don't even read this blog. I don't know, I'm sure that they really are excited for me and that when I actually get my call they'll show more excitement and support. For now, it just feels like nothing has changed. As if I haven't made a life-altering decision.
Anyway, enough of the gloom! I would like to wish Elder Bush a Happy Year Mark! He has had a fabulous year and I'm sure the next will be just as great! Woo hoo Elder Bush!

Delay
Hey folks! To ensure the safety of our passengers, the Mission Paper Processing has been delayed for a short time, but no worries, we'll have it up and running again in no time! Thanks for riding with us!
Okay, so I'm a nerd. Well, I heard this same type of announcement all over Disneyland and I thought it might be funny. Anyway, it is true that my papers have been delayed and I probably won't get my mission call until next week. I know, I'm sad too. I wish that everyone would just read my blog because I don't like to have to repeat any news I have over and over again. I know this may seem contradictory since I'm writing a blog about my life, but I really don't like this much attention. I promise that when I have news, I will notify the masses.
Anyway, Disneyland was amazing! I rode the Tower of Terror six times, which didn't even come close to being enough for me. The one thing that I realized was that I am growing up (shh, don't tell Peter Pan!). I had the hardest time getting up early in the morning after staying up until the park closed. Plus, my body was sore from being thrown around on some of those rides. Man! I came home exhausted from the trip, but I would go back in a heartbeat. I can never get enough of that magical place. I owe Walt Disney a big hug when I see him on the other side of the veil!
Another cool thing was that I got to talk to the woman who sat next to me on the airplane and I found out that she is friends with a former General Primary President, and that she personally knows Gerald N. Lund! I was so excited because I've always admired him and his novels very much (just finished the first book of the Kingdom and the Crown series. If you haven't read it, do! It's fantastic!). She talked about when she went to lunch with him and I thought, "Dang! I need to be friends with you!"
Well friends, now it's time to say goodbye to all our company. M-I-C... See ya real soon, K-E-Y... Why, because I like you! M-O-U-S-E (see, told you I'm a nerd).

Examples
While I am very excited to get my mission call and start teaching the gospel, I wanted to honor those who have been great examples to me. There are many more people than the ones I'm showing now, but I don't have pictures of everybody. Here are my two best friends, Elder Watson and Elder Bush. They are currently serving their missions and I hope that one day, we can have a reunion like the one Alma and the sons of Mosiah had in the Book of Mormon. They are some of the best known missionaries in the scriptures and this is the description of their reunion (and hopefully mine with my friends someday!). "therefore Alma did rejoice exceedingly to see his brethren; and what added more to his joy, they were still his brethren in the Lord; yea, and they waxed strong in the knowledge of the truth" (Alma 17:2) Here are my brethren in the Lord!
